Now, let's look at our progress & update for February 2024 🚀🚀🚀

✅ A total of 2,025 new students have registered for our programs (the total accumulated students in our database has increased to 45,706 students).

✅ Continue to conduct Karnival Robotik Jazro, Robotic Demonstration & Robotic Outreach Programme (ROP) at schools in East and Central Region to spread more knowledge of robotic education to the community👏🏻

✅ Became one of the hiring partners for Petronas BeDigital Bootcamp Terengganu Cohort 6🤩

Below are the key highlights for February 2024:-

1️⃣ ROBO-YAY CODING BOOTCAMP 2.1

JAZRO recently organized the highly anticipated Robo-Yay Coding Bootcamp during the school holiday season 🥳 This comprehensive program, conducted both physically and virtually, covered multiple locations, including Terengganu, Selangor, and Melaka. The initiative attracted an impressive turnout, with 100+ registered participants hailing from various regions across Malaysia.

The main focus of this boot camp is enhancing digital literacy among the younger generation 🚀 Throughout the program, participants were immersed in learning both theoretical and hands-on aspects of robotics and coding modules. Certified Robotic Tutors from JAZRO guided the students through engaging activities, ensuring a holistic understanding of the subjects. By providing a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, the boot camp aimed to equip participants with skills that extend beyond the classroom setting 🤖

The positive response from the participants reinforced JAZRO's commitment to advancing digital literacy and education 🤩 The acquired knowledge and skills from the Robo-Yay Coding Bootcamp are expected to empower students to apply their learning in real-world scenarios, laying the foundation for their future endeavours in the rapidly evolving field of robotics and coding 🦾🦾

2️⃣ ROBOTIC OUTREACH PROGRAMME @ MASJID NEGERI, SHAH ALAM

The Robotic Outreach Programme (ROP) conducted by JAZRO at Masjid Negeri Shah Alam was a one-day event aimed at introducing basic robotic and coding concepts to participants, with a particular focus on engaging the younger generation. With 250 participants in attendance, the programme sought to stimulate curiosity and foster an interest in coding among the youth, especially Muslim teenagers🤩

Throughout the day, participants were immersed in various activities designed to provide hands-on experience and fundamental knowledge in robotics and coding 🤖 The programme included interactive sessions where participants learned about the basics of robotics, such as understanding Mbot, their components, and how they function. They also learned the contribution of Islamic scholars such as Al Jazari, the father of robotics. Additionally, participants were introduced to basic programming languages and concepts using the Scratch coding application 🖥

The goal of the ROP was to ignite the passion for coding and robotics among the participants. By exposing them to these fields in a fun and accessible manner, the programme aimed to spark curiosity and inspire further exploration 🚀 We hoped that by planting the seeds of interest early on, participants would be motivated to pursue further education and careers in STEM-related fields 🦾

3️⃣ JAZRO MONTHLY PAJSK: 3D DESIGN & INNOVATION

Jazro Monthly PAJSK (Pentaksiran Aktiviti Jasmani Sukan & Kokurikulm) programme for February centered around the theme of "3D Design and Innovation: Hero the Rescue Challenge." The focal point of this challenge was the utilization of Tinkercad, a popular online platform for 3D design, to create a boat tailored specifically for flood rescue missions 👨🏻‍🚒 The participants, drawn from various schools across Malaysia, were tasked with conceptualizing and designing a functional boat that could navigate floodwaters effectively to aid in rescue efforts 🚤

The competition was structured into four distinct categories, each catering to different school levels, ensuring the fairness of the competition. These categories likely included divisions such as lower primary, upper primary, lower secondary & upper secondary. This programme has received 400+ participants from all over Malaysia 😱

After the submission deadline, a panel of judges meticulously reviewed each entry, evaluating its design, functionality, and overall effectiveness. On March 10, 2024, the results were finally unveiled, with five winners announced for each category. These winners, undoubtedly deserving of recognition, demonstrated exceptional talent and ingenuity in their designs, standing out among their peers 👏🏻

The announcement of the winners marked the culmination of weeks of hard work and dedication, as well as the celebration of creativity and innovation within the realm of 3D design 🦾 We hope the competition not only provided participants with a platform to showcase their skills but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and learning, inspiring future generations to explore the boundless possibilities offered by technology and innovation 🥰
